The Cabin is complietely secluded and has an enchantingly beautiful view over Javnlia mountain lake and with a breathtaking 360 degree view of Norway’s highest mountain.
There is usually snow at the Cabin from November to May. In the summer you can drive all the way to the Cabin, but in the winter period you park about 200 meters from the Cabin, unless snow has been cleared all the way.
The Cabin “Helleren” is located 1000 above sea level at Beito. The area is called Javnlia. It is said that this is the entrance portal to Jotunheimen, Norway’s and Northern Europe’s largest mountain area. Here are the highest mountains in Northern Europe, Galdhøpiggen and Glittertind. After an extensive renovation, remodeling and extension, the cabin will be modernized and new images will be added soon.
After an extensive renovation, conversion and extension, the Cabin will during 2022 be modernized in relation to water and electricity supply, new kitchen and shower / toilet, an extension with 3 bedrooms and a new woodshed. The cabin will have a total of 8 beds in 3 new double rooms and a bunk room.

Outdoors, the sun and the view can be enjoyed from the terrace and according to the plan, in connection with a major expansion of the terrace, we will also establish a sauna and a wilderness bath.
The cabin is located in one of Norway’s most attractive cross-country areas Øystre Slidre. The main trail (ski trail) goes right past the cabin and is prepared with 4 beautiful trails, and provides easy and direct access to the entire ski area.
The starting point for many of our ski trips in the mountains is from Øysterli Sæter, which is a few kilometers further up the main trail from our cabin.
From here you can choose many trips of different lengths and variety in more or less challenging / hilly terrain.
In the summer it is great to both hike and bike in the mountains. In the area there are many mountain lakes where you can swim and fish.

From the Cabin you can drive to Beitostølen in about 25 minutes, where you will find a selection of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Here you can also rent all kinds of ski equipment in the winter and buy ski passes for the alpine area. In the summer there are also many offers and activities.
BeitostølenThe cabin can be rented on a weekly basis for 2000,- to 6000,- DKK per. week depending on season. Bed linen, towels, tea towels and dishcloths are brought for your own consumption. Other practical details are agreed directly.
